So, I've taken a break from hair bows and clippies for awhile to work on some crochet projects. I love to crochet, but my hands often pay the price for it! I had to make some new summer hats for the girls, and I am so pleased with how they turned out!
I'm listing the white beanie in my shop soon - it will come with interchangeable clips (your choice of colors for 1 clip, but you can add additional if you wish!)
I think they are too cute!
I LOVE crochet!

Has it been a week?
0 commentsSo, I can't believe it's been a week since I have blogged. I have been so busy with local orders that I just haven't had time!! Every day I tell myself that I need to do it, but then I get wrapped up in something else or I have a little munchkin standing next to me wanting my attention - and rightly so!!!
We finally had some warm weather this week - it was great to get outside and play. It was little A.'s first time really playing outside and wandering around. She wasn't sure though when she went from the path onto the grass -- that seemed a little weird to her!
After our week of warm weather and fun - we woke up to this on Thursday:
The snow is mostly gone now, but it was sure a shock looking out the window!!
So this is what I've been busy with this week!
A custom bottle cap bow order - these are sooo cute, and I plan on adding them to my shop soon - just need to order more ribbon (if you are interested, just convo me over at Etsy!)
I've also added some monogrammed felt flower hair clips to my shop. These are adorable! I was encouraged by a friend to do them! Thank you J!!
I have also been doing some custom orders this week - I'll get all my pics uploaded over at Flickr today so you can check them all out over there!
Thanks for stopping, and remember to leave a comment!!

Just in Time for Mother's Day
1 commentsMother's day is quickly approaching. It always seems to come before you know it, and you find yourself on that day frantically searching through a store only to come up with the same little trinket you gave her last year.
Well, this year, let's do something different. Let's do something amazing for mom that will truly surprise her and bring tears to her eyes. I will take her favorite photographs and turn them into a one of a kind necklace that she will cherish forever!!
Take a peek!
I have more photo jewelry at my Etsy Shop!

We've Gone Presidential
1 commentsYesterday was a big day for the Grand Cities. 2 Presidential candidates within 2 hours of each other. The whole city was buzzing. People came from all over North Dakota and Minnesota to see Senator Clinton and Senator Obama. Doors opened at 1 p.m. and there were people in line starting at 11 a.m. We figured we would be okay getting there at 4. Well, we stood in line for 2 hours.
The lined snaked back and forth the length of the Alerus Center (our college's football stadium). We were fortunate we saw some friends and were able to "sneak" in line a little bit. That probably saved us 20 minutes. The line seemed to continue on forever. We were not very optimistic we would see Obama's speech. At one point an official came out and said that we could take our chances waiting, but it was unlikely that we would be able to see Obama speak since the Alerus was at full capacity. They stopped bringing buses at 4 o'clock. Our shuttle was the last one.
After what seemed like forever, we got into the lobby of the building. However, we still had to go through security. Thankfully, it moved faster than the airport since people were very anxious to get inside. Obama hadn't started speaking yet. Our state senators were very long winded in their introductions, so that gave us a little extra time.
Just as we were rounding the corner, Obama was getting to the podium. The crowd was roaring. The building was filled to capacity - 17,000 people, I think. It really was amazing to see. I think there were more people there than at a UND football game!
Obama spoke for about 30 minutes and then there was about a break until 8:30 or so. Clinton came on to the same response, but not quite as many people. It was very exciting to be there, and a once in a lifetime opportunity. Both senators were presented with hockey sticks autographed by the members of the UND men's hockey team. They will be competing in the NCAA frozen four next weekend. We are hoping they'll bring home their 8th national championship.
So, which ever candidate you decide to support, make sure you pick up one of these ADORABLE onesies from Claire and Me

You can find the Clinton onesie here and the Obama onesie here

Spring is Here!
0 commentsThe lovely weather outside has kept me away - after what feels like an eternity of cold - snow, wind, sleet, slush, and really bitterly cold temperatures I think I see a glimmer of spring! We were in the low 50s today. I am told though that it is not going to last -- it's going to get cold again tomorrow. YUCK.
I have been busy with orders, so I haven't been able to do anything new for the shop.
The monthly winner of my clippie contest was Sugar Press Studios. She will receive a free set of non slip hair clips!
Tomorrow hubby and are going to see democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. They are BOTH coming to our tiny little town (50,000). We figured we couldn't pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity! They are expecting nearly 17,000 people to come, so parking will probably be an issue!!
Our city also has the world curling championships in town!! The curling championship's are at the Ralph Engelstad Hockey Arena here in town. This is our college hockey team's facility. It really is amazing - all leather seats, marble floors - a sight to see! They are expecting nearly 50,000 people to come through town during the 9 days of the tournament. I think I'll stay in!
Well, I'm off to get some work done! Thanks for taking the time to read!

They're Here!!
1 commentsFirst, I have to say Happy April Fools Day! This is what my oldest woke up to for breakfast this morning!
Okay, she didn't exactly eat it - although she REALLY wanted to! The "eggs" are marshmallows and yellow frosting, and the "toast" is pound cake!
Now for the exciting news! I have my newest creations listed on Etsy. I am so proud of these. There are 2 pendants to choose from. One is a double sided pendant with each photo coated in resin. The second is a molded pendant. The photos look like they are framed by the resin - they turn out so pretty!!
The necklace that I have listed it extra special. I made that for a friend of mind that I met online. We both lost our babies to SIDS. You can learn more about my daughter here.
I hope you love these new designs as much as I do!!
